Winter seasonal beers tend to be rich, heavier, darker brews fit to warm the body during the cold winter months. Many breweries choose Imperial Stouts, English Strong Ales, Belgian Strong Ales, or Imperial India Pale Ales, in addition to others. Most of the winter seasonal beers have elevated levels of alcohol and tend to be slightly spiced.
